Tomas G. Rios, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine specialist serving patients at Rios Healthcare Associates in Houston, Texas. He maintains the highest levels of accreditation and pursues continuing medical education to stay at the forefront of the latest trends in the medical field. 

Dr. Rios received his medical degree (MD) from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri, in 2010 with a distinction in research. He completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston (UT Health) in Houston, Texas. He then completed an additional year of training in cardiovascular medicine at UT Health. 

During his time at UT Health, Dr. Rios gained invaluable experience with rotations at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the Texas Heart Institute/Baylor St Luke's  Medical Center, Memorial Hermann Health System, and Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in Houston, Texas.

In 2015, Dr. Rios started practicing as a hospitalist at Baylor St Luke's Medical Center. A quaternary care hospital, he gained additional experience in caring for the most critically ill patients requiring a multi-disciplinary approach to achieve the best outcomes.

In 2018, frustrated with the depersonalized nature of the current healthcare system, Dr. Rios sought to change the healthcare landscape. He imagined an industry where patients came first - above money and politics. Thus, he created Rios Healthcare Associates. Nicolin Neal, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine practitioner and an integral part of the team at Rios Healthcare Associates. By providing highly personalized primary care services to residents of Houston, Texas, and the surrounding region, Dr. Neal enhances the health and wellness of those in her care.

Education has always shaped Dr. Neal’s life. She earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. Dr. Neal went on to refine her knowledge and skills through training in internal medicine at the University of Texas at Houston and a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Waco, Texas.

In her professional life, Dr. Neal has focused extensively on geriatric care. She’s presented research at the American Delirium Society National Conferences and has authored a chapter in Ethical Considerations and Challenges in Geriatrics, a textbook used to train medical professionals. She has also worked to educate medical colleagues in geriatric care.

Patients love working with Dr. Neal because of her warm and welcoming nature. She takes the time to get to know those in her care, listening to their concerns and exploring the ways their social, emotional, and mental health interact with their overall health and wellness.
